Apex General Contracting, Inc., beginning in Fairbanks in 1992, was originally named Apex Roofing, Inc., with the main principal having mainly roofing experience at the time. Due to the extreme temperature swings Alaska experiences throughout the year, Apex began to tackle the 'Hot Roof" issue that many houses and cabins had. The owner, Andrew Bryan came on staff in the spring of ’95, with 12 years of carpentry / residential contracting experience. In 1997, Apex actively began pursuing more light to medium commercial work, both in town and in the rural Alaskan villages.

Andrew bought Apex in the early spring of ’01 and changed the name to ‘Apex General Contracting and Roofing, Inc, to better encompass what they did as a whole.
