Founded by Glenn and Ruth Greer in 1952, the business began in a simple one-car garage in Fairbanks, Alaska, using a small set of plate rolls to manually bend steel fuel storage tanks for local customers. More than seven decades later, Greer has grown from a mom-and-pop garage operation into Alaska’s largest tank manufacturer and a trusted industrial fabrication leader by staying focused on quality, responsiveness, and the practical needs of the people and industries it serves.
From 20-gallon polyethylene water tanks to 50,000-gallon custom steel tanks, Greer Tank & Welding provides products designed around each customer’s application, timeline, and operating environment. With a team of 30 local employees, the company fills a unique role for homeowners, contractors, and companies serving the North Slope by delivering dependable products, practical solutions, and service that helps customers get the right tank for the job.
